This year’s 40th annual Bob Evans Farm Festival took place October 8-10 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day at the Bob Evans Homestead in Rio Grande, Ohio. It was a weekend filled with crafts, food, entertainment and family fun for all. More than 35,000 people attended. Headline performers, Rhonda Vincent and the Rage took to the Homestead stage on Sunday and truly brought the sounds of bluegrass to the festival. The 40th Farm Festival was an overall success, and a true celebration of our company and its heritage.
Guests learned how to milk a cow, shear a sheep and got tutorials from blacksmiths and soap makers. Families watched in wonder as cloggers performed “Appalachian tap dancing,” lumberjacks demonstrated log rolling and sawing skills. Many came to kick back and “set awhile” to the sounds of real American bluegrass, gospel and country music. Guests enjoyed the mouthwatering tastes of local farmers offering kettle corn, apple cider, maple products, jams, jellies, gourmet food mixes and much more.
